Important Update:
Transition to FSC®-Certified Bamboo Paper

Dear Valued Customer,

At Better Earth, we are committed to continuous improvement in sustainable packaging solutions. As part of this mission, we are transitioning our hot cups and food containers from FSC^®-certified wood paper to FSC^®-certified bamboo paper. This rolling transition is beginning now and will be implemented as inventory replenishes.

This transition allows us to further reduce our environmental footprint while maintaining the same high level of product performance and compostability. The key benefits of using FSC^®-certified bamboo paper include:

• Forest Preservation: Unlike traditional tree-based paper, bamboo is a rapidly renewable resource that regenerates within a few years, reducing pressure on forests and the ecosystems that depend on them.
• Protection of Wildlife & Indigenous Communities: By reducing reliance on tree-based paper, we help preserve the habitats of endangered species and protect the rights of indigenous communities that rely on forest ecosystems.
• Elimination of Bleaching: Unlike the white FSC^®-certified paper we previously used, the new bamboo substrate does not require bleaching, further reducing chemical processing and environmental impact.
• Commercially Compostable: Like our previous materials, our new bamboo-based packaging remains BPI-certified compostable in commercial composting facilities where available, ensuring responsible end-of-life disposal.

Customers may notice a change in appearance, as the new bamboo material has a natural tone instead of bright white. However, the performance and functionality of our packaging remain unchanged.
