At Better Earth, we’re passionate about creating a brighter future for our planet. We fully embrace the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the SDGs, which were established by world leaders in 2015. Our mission is to end poverty, fight inequality, and address the urgent need for climate action by 2030.

By reaffirming our commitment to the United Nations Global Compact, we reinforce our dedication to these goals. Our membership helps us refine our Sustainability Strategy and ensures that we’re making a tangible impact in various areas.

We are particularly focused on advancing the following SDGs:

We’re proud to share our progress in multiple areas.

To further our dedication to Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, we introduced the PFAs-Free Clarion Collection in 2021. Since then, our PFAS-free offerings have grown by an impressive 113% in 2022. We’re on track to achieve our objective of sourcing 100% PFAS-free products by the end of 2023.

Additionally, we’ve invested in domestic manufacturing, bolstering green jobs in the American Southeast.

In 2022 alone, our total domestic packaging sales grew by 2%, resulting in an estimated offset of 161 metric tons of CO2 emissions in the international supply chain. Furthermore, these initiatives have continued to provide financial support to our network of over 60 Southeastern farmers, cultivating native, regenerative, perennial crops for our Farmer’s Fiber Collection.

Gender equality is of utmost importance to us and the UN Global Compact.

Although we experienced a 5% decrease in female representation on our team in 2022, with women comprising 40% of our workforce, we also witnessed a 3% increase in female leadership representation. We’re committed to implementing intentional hiring policies that will support our goal of achieving at least 50% female representation within the Better Earth team.
